Local History
Some of the following events form part of Bishop Auckland Civic Society's annual programme. The Society was formed in 1989 to safeguard the character of Bishop Auckland and to stimulate public awareness and interest in the town - past, present and future. It holds bi-monthly meetings in the Town Hall and new members are always welcome.
