Tea Dance
Weekly eventTuesdays 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Enjoy an afternoon of dancing in the Eden Theatre, under the expert guidance of John Beaty. Dances are mostly a mix of sequence dances, with a dash of ballroom.
All Tickets: £2.00.

Evergreens
Wednesdays during term time 10.30am - 12noon
The Evergreens are our friendly over 50s group. If you call in for a taster session you’ll be made most welcome. A wide range of activities are on offer – from illustrated talks and demonstrations to workshops and excursions
Annual membership fee: £25.00. Visitors £2.00 per session.

Reading Group
Meets first Thursday of the month, 10.00am - 12.00noon.
We hope to encourage you to try new authors, share favourites and explore the world of books. If you’re interested in meeting others who love books, come along on the first Thursday of the month at 10.00am. For further information call in, or phone the library on 03000 269 524.

Family History Research
Meeting on last Thursday of each month
10.00am - 12.00noon and 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Drop in sessions for those interested in finding out more about their family history. Staff will be on hand between 10.00am – 12noon and 2.00pm – 4.00pm to point you in the right direction.

Make Your Mark!Print Workshops
Use the Tom McGuinness printing press to produce your own hand made intaglio prints.
Everyone welcome, from beginners through to experienced artists. To help get you started tuition is available if required,

Knit and Natter
Meeting on the first Saturday of each month, 10.00am - 12noon.
If you enjoy knitting and would like to come along for a natter while you knit, this new group is for you! If you can’t knit, we’ve got someone happy to teach you the basics and get you started.

Reading GroupBook Buddies
Thursdays, fortnightly in term time4.45pm until 5.45pm
Our reading group aimed at children aged 8 – 12 years, Book Buddies is a friendly group happy to welcome new members who are interested in enjoying new books and sharing their favourite stories. With reading champion Sharon Carrick you’ll find out that some books are scary, some are silly, and some are adventure packed, but all books are fun!

Story Time
Stories and Crafts for Under 5's
10.30am until 11.30am (Term time only)
Become a member of the Story Time club and collect stars and certificates, make friends and have fun! Story Time sessions are regular events held in the Hutchinson Library, led by Sharon Carrick.

Group visits by prior arrangement only.
We hope that by introducing very young children to books at an early age this will encourage and inspire them to love and read books for themselves.
