Marks on the Land
by Pam JenkinsTuesday 1 until Saturday 19 September
“The majority of the paintings in this exhibition have evolved over the last five years, since my move to the North East. Initially my aim was to celebrate the seasonal, changing marks and colours on the landscape. Now, some of the work has become more map-like and the paintings are quilts or magical aerial views, which make links between places and memories.”

Tranquillity
by CS CapeMonday 28 September until Saturday 24 October
A fascination with light and atmosphere runs through CS Cape’s art. Her landscapes could be regarded as romantic, yet their potency lies in the ability to create a sense of place, a feeling of being right there in the painting. This conscious sensation of a particular moment in time is further enhanced by the way in which she captures the play of light on the landscape.
